Core Cohort B2B Sales Training in Sheffield this July! (funding available for Sheffield City Region business)

We help business owners and sales teams build confidence through process and structure to succeed in a modern sales world. There’s no doubting the your sales and marketing environment has changed and it is the role of the modern sales professional to join up buying with selling and sell how your buyer likes to buy, not how you like to sell. Old habits have to evolve and the digitalisation of the sales process means your customers have access to vast amounts of information and research about the problems they’ve identified for themselves. It is more and more your role to be active in this early stage of the customers’ buying journey.

We’ve helped hundreds of business owners and sales teams across the Sheffield City Region and with the support of the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority and the Skillsbank initiative you can access this award winning sales training that otherwise may be out of reach for smaller business.

Core Cohort in Sheffield (The Source) this July. Helping B2B business modernise their sales approach.

Rob Taylor from Plan. Grow. Do. says…

Core Cohort really opens the door to award-winning and impactful sales training for owner-managed businesses and sales teams who otherwise wouldn’t have access to this level of upskilling.

It’s a real pleasure to see genuine collaboration between two of our key Chambers in the region and the support provided by the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority via Skillsbank is a real testament to the region’s drive to develop skills.  Over the previous four Core Cohorts, we’ve seen professionals from across the B2B spectrum come together, share best practices, learn new ideas and leave “inspired” with a “new motivation”.

It’s great to see both incredibly experienced sales professionals learn new approaches to sales and refresh existing methods while at the same time welcoming those new to the sales space and watching impactful development over our two days together.

But what do our customers say?

And here’s Tom Parker from DBL Logistics…

View Tom’s profile Tom Parker

Why did you choose the training?

The training was offered to me as part of my induction into a new job at DBL Logistics in Sheffield. I’ve joined the company from an operational background, so to hit the ground running with good quality training and guidance was a must for the transition into sales. As DBL Logistics are a member of the Sheffield Chamber of Commerce, they prefer to use local providers for their training and business needs where possible. The part funding offered for this course along with the locality made it too much of an attractive opportunity to miss.

How did you find the experience?

One of the most engaging and interesting training courses I’ve been on! Steve and Rob were brilliant, and were able to keep the training relevant and took time to ask leading questions to ensure you were able to apply the teachings to your industry. They encouraged participation but didn’t force you if you didn’t want to which I’ve seen at other training events. The course also allowed the opportunity to meet and network with new people in my local area.

How have you started to use the learnings from Core Cohort in your work?

Now 3 weeks into my new role with DBL Logistics, I’ve been profiling customers and building my sales funnel and will be out visiting new and existing customers in the coming weeks. I already had quite a strong online network, but have since grown this with the ‘right’ kind of people and had a clear out of the people from past positions/industries that are no longer fitting to my network.

With the training, I’ll be able to better identify my ‘Big 5’ and my ‘Top 5’ and implement WOPPA Pre-call planning before my visits to allow me the best possible chance of closing sales for my company. So if you have any palletised freight or warehousing requirements … Get in touch!

Shane Young – Head of Commercial & Partnerships at Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber says…

Barnsley & Rotherham Chamber are delighted to be working in partnership with our colleagues at Sheffield Chamber, to come together to run a joint training course in collaboration with Plan. Grow. Do. We’ve run two cohorts over the last few months and received excellent feedback from the ways the guys at Plan. Grow. Do. deliver and present the information and tools to enhance the delegates’ sales skills. Feedback such as:

“that is the best course I’ve ever been on”
“Highly recommend for any sales team”

Coming together with Sheffield Chamber is a natural step to opening up the training to more businesses across our business community. The next cohort will take place on the 18th & 19th of July at The Source. This fantastic training is 50% funded by Sheffield City Region Skills Bank and is open to all businesses.

Will Morgan, Senior Relationships Manager for Sheffield Chamber Of Commerce…

Sheffield Chamber is proud to be working with Plan. Grow. Do. and Barnsley and Rotherham Chamber to offer a tried and tested programme to upskill sales teams across our region. We know marketplaces are changing, and sales teams have to change too.

Plan. Grow. Do. gives small businesses and salespeople the tools they need to sell effectively online and bring greater structure to their sales processes. We’ve had great feedback already, with our members giving testimonials such as ‘I left feeling inspired, motivated & enthusiastic‘.
